Hi, I'm Carly.
Founder of Luna Dreams, separation anxiety specialist, and the dog mum who lived through this herself.
The reason I do this work is probably asleep on my sofa right now.
When I brought Luna home, she was struggling with separation anxiety alongside chronic pain and ongoing medical issues. Two things layered on top of each other, each making the other harder. We were navigating panic when I left the room, and pain that limited what we could even attempt to do about it.
I tried what most owners try. Some of it helped a little. Most didn't help at all. What changed everything was finally understanding that her separation anxiety wasn't a behaviour problem at all. It was a fear response that needed a calmer, more structured approach. One that took her physical health seriously rather than working around it.
That experience reshaped what I wanted to do.
I trained as a dog trainer, qualified as a Separation Anxiety Behaviour Consultant, and I'm currently studying to become a Clinical Animal Behaviourist. I keep my development ongoing because this field moves quickly, and the dogs I work with deserve approaches that reflect what we actually know now.

Where I work differently is with the cases that aren't straightforward. If your dog has chronic pain, medical complexity, or any underlying health issue alongside their anxiety, the training has to flex around it, not ignore it. I work alongside vets, physiotherapists and other specialists when the situation needs it, so the support your dog gets is properly joined up.
The other thing I learned with Luna is that this work isn't only about the dog.
Living with a dog who can't cope alone takes a toll on you too. The cancelled plans. That constant worry with everything you do. The training matters, but so does having someone in your corner who actually understands what you're carrying. That's the part I refuse to leave out of how I work.
If you'd like to talk through what's going on with your dog, you can book a free consultation below. No pressure. Just a proper conversation about your situation, and whether working together feels right.
