Frequently Asked Questions
What training methods do you use?
I use a ethical and science based approach called gradual exposure. Your dog learns step by step, at their own pace, without fear that being home alone is safe. This method isn’t about quick fixes or suppressing behaviours. Separation anxiety is a fear based condition which requires kind, ethical and structured training to help your dog feel confident and secure when alone and to create lasting, meaningful change.

Why is the training done remotely?
Separation anxiety training relies on observing your dog in their normal environment, where they experience being alone. Online sessions make this possible while offering flexible scheduling and the ability to support you wherever you are, ensuring accurate assessment and personalised guidance every step of the way.

Will this training work for my dog?
With the correct training plan and consistency, progress is absolutely possible. I assess your dog fully before we start so I can ensure you get tailored training plans to suit both you and your dog. We will track your progress and make necessary adjustments along the way to ensure you are getting the most out of your training.

How long will it take?
I wish I could answer this butt he truth is there’s no one-size-fits-all timeline for separation anxiety. Every dog is different, and progress depends on multiple factors. What I can promise is training that moves at your dog’s pace to ensure they are comfortable.

How do I get started?
The first step is to book a free 20 minute discovery call. This is an opportunity to discuss your dogs struggles, your goals, what working with me looks like, what is included in my one to one support programme and whether this is the right fit for you. You'll also have the opportunity to ask me any questions. If you would like to proceed with one to one support, we will book you onto the programme and get started!

What happens at the end of the programme?
At the end of the programme, you'll have a strong foundation in understanding and treating your dogs separation anxiety. You'll have the knowledge, the tools and the routines to keep making progress. You have two options:

1 - Continue with Ongoing Monthly Support.
Many clients choose to stay on for continued guidance, support and accountability because consistency is key in this training! You'll receive the same benefits you had during the programme - access to me, training video reviews, plan adjustments and ongoing support.

2 - Go it Alone!
You'll have the foundational knowledge and tools to keep progressing independently. But please note, you will lose free access to the training app and direct support from me. You can keep access to the training app for a fee if you wish. However, if you find you need additional help, you can get back in touch anytime!
